6 Techniques to Become a Successful Freelance Writer and Why

6 Techniques to Become a Successful Freelance Writer and Why - Here's a great new article from makmur.eu.org The demand for case study writers is booming. Yet very few freelance writers are aware of this exciting and lucrative market. This article explains.

I remember the first time a client offered me the task of writing a case study.

To start the world of work as a freelancer, you only need strong consistent and commitment to work as a freelance writer

It was the start of my freelance writing career and I didn't even know what it looked like. I have lots of questions. “What is a case study?” "How long?" "What format?" "How much did I wear?"

Having Broad Ideas for Good Writing

Of course, today, I know more. Even more. In fact, I write dozens of case studies for clients every year.

Case studies now rank high on my list of the most interesting — and profitable — projects I've worked on. (I'm so glad a client offered me the job years ago!)

If you're not familiar with case studies, don't worry. They are very simple. Case studies are just a fancy name for success stories – stories of happy customers and their experiences with a product or service.

Lately, I've noticed that more and more companies are in need of written case studies, but are having a hard time finding writers who can do the job.

That means we have ample opportunity for you and me if you want to start freelance writing

And it gets better. Consider the following:

1. Case studies are not difficult to write

They are similar in style and format to newsletter articles. So if you can write one of them, you can write a case study.

As I meant earlier, that writing is an important activity because many people need it. Therefore, writing activities become a job that we need to do

2. Relatively short case study

Usually about 400-800 words in length. Once you gain a bit of experience, you'll be able to take it down in less than a day.

3. The format is standardized

Unlike ads and direct mail, you won't be stressed about having to come up with a stunning new concept or a killer title. The basic structure of a case study is very simple. All you need is to get the facts and write a good article.

4. Case study writers are urgently needed

More companies are scrambling to get case studies written today than ever before. I can't give exact figures, but I think the demand for case study writers has increased significantly over the last few years.

5. There is little competition

I'm not sure why, but some copywriters are chasing this market. Some may not know it exists. Others may mistake case studies as boring or technical. Not true! Case study writing is storytelling. That is fun.

6. Case studies pay well

Surprisingly good. Now you won't get the superstar rates paid to big league direct mail copywriters. But most clients pay a premium for case study writing. Making $100 per hour is not an unreasonable expectation for a seasoned writer. I know many who earn more.

Currently the case study market is booming. Why not jump in and get your share of this exciting and lucrative writing gig?
